INJECTION MOLDING

Plastic pellets run from a hopper attached to press through a heated barrel which melts the plastic. Molten plastic is then injected at high pressure into a mold and frozen using chiller lines into product shape.

Advantages of Injection  Molding assorted-golf-products1

  • Quick process speeds/parts per minute
  • Multiple cavity molds for massive quantity capability.
  • Steel molds endure repeated usage.
  • Automated cycles/low manual labor.
  • High quality / textured surfaces available.

Disadvantages to Injection Molding

  • Steel molds-high tooling costs.
  • Volatile cost of petroleum based resins.

Markets:

Agricultural, construction, consumer, and high volume part requirements.
